Blue Stream Academy 2023 Year in a Wrap!
As we’ve settled into the new year and begun planning for the year ahead of us, we thought it was the ideal time to reflect on the past 12 months and what has been going on here at BSA HQ.
2022 was a year of celebration, events, anniversaries, and hard work as our team attended over 18 health and care events, released over 20 eLearning modules, handled over 98,000 customer queries, and saw the release of MIS version 2.0.4.
Where to begin?...
The first half of 2022 started with a bang!
We released a new Parkinson’s Awareness module, whilst also updating our COVID-19, First Aid and Waste Management eLearning modules.
We kicked off our 2022 events with the ACE Conference at the Business Design Centre, London – it was great to be back amongst the exhibition buzz! Following this, our team raised money and spread plenty of laughter by sporting their best fancy dress in the office in honour of Red Nose Day 2022.
Blue Stream turned 10!
Before we knew it, it was April, and we were celebrating Blue Stream Academy’s 10th anniversary. As of March 2022, we hit a milestone of over 7,500,000 module completions on our system and we celebrated not only a decade of achievements but you, our users, for making this all possible! Charity Auction Night
Following the devastating news of conflict in Ukraine, Team BSA decided that we wanted to help in any way that we could. The team got to it and decided to fundraise for the British Red Cross’ Ukraine appeal, raising vital funds to help supply affected individuals with food, water, first aid, medicines, clothes, and shelter. Our team organised a charity auction to raise funds for those affected, and after 8 weeks of fundraising for the charity evening, Team BSA made a total of £3,512 towards the appeal. What came next?
Our new Cyber Security and PEG Feeding modules were released in the second half of 2022, accompanied by important updates to our Domestic Abuse, Safeguarding Adults and Children, and Supporting People with a Learning Disability - Tier 1 eLearning modules.
Our Sales and Marketing team attended the Care Roadshows in Liverpool, Cardiff, London, and Birmingham, followed by the Care Show at the NEC, Birmingham, the CMM Care Conference, the Management in Practice events (Liverpool, Bristol, and Newcastle), the Mediwales Connects conference and finishing the year on a high as a Silver Sponsor at the Hospice UK National Conference in Glasgow.
Throughout the year, Team BSA also supported the Jeans for Genes campaign and had a fantastic time baking and preparing treats for our Macmillan Coffee Morning. In December, we wanted to finish the year by supporting a local cause. That’s where the Belper Shoebox Appeal came in to help as they paired us up with a local organisation, Spencer Grove Care Home. Each member of Team BSA prepared a shoebox filled with gifts for the residents at the home as we delivered the gifts alongside our very own Father Christmas. The residents loved their gifts, and in turn, we loved to see the smiles we had put on their faces at what can often be a difficult time of the year.

Our Software Development team have been busy over the last year giving the Blue Stream Academy dashboard a brand-new look and update across each of our eLearning Suites. As well as this, our latest update has seen the addition of two-factor authentication to our log-in page, providing your Blue Stream account with an extra level of protection!
