Our updated COSHH eLearning module provides an introduction to COSHH regulations, information on the types of hazardous substances that may be encountered, and guidance on the control and safety measures that should be put in place in the workplace.

What is the importance of COSHH training within my organisation?

In the UK, 13,000 deaths each year are estimated to be linked to past exposure to chemicals and dust at work. Accidents and incidents involving hazardous substances and materials can affect workers, colleagues, service users, and members of the public.

Exposure to hazardous substances in the workplace is often preventable and most substances can be handled safely as long as their hazardous properties are fully understood, correct procedures and equipment are always used, and those handling them are conscientious and fully trained.

What does the COSHH eLearning module address?

Our updated Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) module provides an:

• introduction to COSHH regulations
• information on the types of hazardous substances people may encounter within a healthcare setting
• guidance on the control and safety measures that should be put in place if exposure to substances that are hazardous to health cannot be prevented.
