This Arthritis Care eLearning course provides a detailed understanding of arthritis, including its types, prevalence, and common misconceptions. It explains how to identify symptoms, causes, and the physical and emotional effects of arthritis, and explores how sleep, fatigue, diet, exercise, and the home environment impact arthritis management.
This course provides an insight into assistive devices, practical care strategies, and how to support individuals in health and social care settings. It also covers the role of physiotherapy, pain management options, and NICE-recommended treatments for osteoarthritis.

Hand Hygiene

This Hand Hygiene training course highlights the vital role of hand hygiene in infection prevention and control. It explores common barriers to effective hand hygiene and identifies high-risk areas in the workplace. You will learn about the world health organization’s 5 moments of hand hygiene, the point of care, and when to use soap and water versus alcohol-based hand rub.
The course also covers correct techniques for handwashing and hand rub application, areas often missed, the importance of thoroughly drying hands, and tips for maintaining healthy skin while ensuring effective hygiene practices.

Long COVID

This Long COVID eLearning course offers a comprehensive understanding of long COVID, including its definition, symptoms, prevalence and impact on daily life. Guided by the latest NICE guidance, it covers post-COVID requirements, tests and investigations, personalised care planning and self-management strategies.
The course highlights referral pathways and the roles of multidisciplinary teams, covering key professional contributions such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy. Learners will also explore how to assist children and young people as well as health and social care workers affected by long COVID. This course is ideal for health and social care professionals supporting individuals living with long COVID.

Stroke Awareness

This Stroke Awareness training course provides a comprehensive introduction to strokes, covering how and why they happen, who is most at risk, and how to recognise the early warning signs and symptoms of strokes.
You will learn about the main types of strokes, the key factors that contribute to their occurrence, and how lifestyle changes can help reduce risk factors. The course also explores the effects strokes can have on the brain and body, and outlines the rehabilitation journey, including available stroke care therapies offered following a stroke.

Basic Oral Care

This Basic Oral Care course provides a comprehensive introduction to oral health, including the structure of the mouth, types of teeth, and their functions. Learn about the importance of oral hygiene and its impact on overall health, as well as common causes of poor oral health.
The course outlines five key principles of assisted oral care, how to carry out oral assessments, and the correct procedures for providing oral and denture care. It also covers how to adapt oral care for individuals in special circumstances, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred support.

Do These Courses Need Retaking?

These particular courses have not undergone any significant changes that impact their core learning outcomes or knowledge test. As such, there is no requirement to retake any previous course completions immediately. However, it is up to each organisation to decide whether they would like staff members to complete these courses before their recommended retake period.
