New National Data Opt-out eLearning course, available to health and social care professionals
Blue Stream Academy Ltd. are pleased to announce the release of our new 'National Data Opt-out' module, with all content approved by NHS Digital.
This module is available for General Practice staff to ensure that they have an understanding of the national data opt-out, how a national data opt-out can be set by a patient and how national data opt-outs should be checked for and applied.
The national data opt-out enables patients to opt out from the use of their data for research or planning purposes, in line with the recommendations of the National Data Guardian in her review of Data Security, Consent and Opt-outs.
Our 'National Data Opt-out' module covers topics including:
- What type of information the national data opt-out applies to.
- How to set a national data opt-out.
- How a national data opt-out will affect the way data is processed.
- How data is used for individual care and treatment as well as purposes beyond individual care and treatment.
- How the national data opt-out is applied.

- What organisations need to do, in order to be compliant with the national data opt-out policy.
