Air Ambulance Fundraiser | Blue Stream Academy
Fundraising for The Air Ambulance Service across the Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland and beyond
From April 1st to May 8th, 2024, the Blue Stream team is embarking on an ambitious journey, collectively covering 3,850 miles on foot or bike to support The WNDLR Air Ambulance Service. With a goal of 101 miles on average per day, our team of 26 participants is determined to make a difference.
Where does the WNDLR Air Ambulance cover?
Area Covered and Services Provided
The WNDLR Air Ambulance Service plays a critical role in providing emergency medical care across a vast 3,850 squared mile area, including Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, and beyond. They operate essential local air ambulance services as well as the national paediatric and neonatal transfer service, the Children’s Air Ambulance, serving communities across the UK.
Your Local Air Ambulance Mission Statistics
Throughout the last 20 years, the WNDLR Air Ambulance Service has attended over 50,000 missions. In 2023 alone, they attended 4,003 missions, totalling at 676 hours across 17 counties.
Air Ambulance Funding
Despite the crucial services they provide, The Air Ambulance Service receives no government funding for its daily operations. They rely solely on the generosity of individuals, communities, and businesses to keep their helicopters in the air and save lives.
What could your donation cover
£20 could pay towards a pair of children's ear defenders to protect little ears from our noisy rotors.
£50 could pay towards straps to safely secure patients before and during their flight, allowing our crew to focus on treatment.
£100 could pay towards a vacuum splint, used to support and hold fractured limbs during transport to hospital.
Your support, no matter how small, can make a significant impact and help ensure that The Air Ambulance Service can continue its life-saving missions.

Blue Stream Academy’s WNDLR Air Ambulance Challenge
To raise vital funds for the WNDLR Air Ambulance, the Blue Stream Academy team have created their very own collective challenge to walk, run or cycle 3,850 days over a 38-day period – that’s around 100 miles per day! The team of 26 participants have their work cut out, with the overall goal working out at approximately 4 miles every day.
How will the teams progress be tracked?
Each Monday, participants will share their mileage achievements by submitting screenshots from their tracking devices, whether it's a wearable gadget or the health tracking feature on their phone.
How can I follow the Blue Stream Team’s progress?
The teams figures will be compiled, and we'll proudly showcase our progress on all Blue Stream Academy social media channels. Stay updated by following us on Facebook , Twitter, or LinkedIn!
